Exciting news about our football program:
The Jr Wolfpack Football Board of volunteers is always looking for ways to improve our football skills, grow our program, and most importantly, keep our kids safe. We feel that we have made two significant, and positive changes for our football program that will improve safety and encourage participation: TackleBar and Weight-Restricted offerings at the 7th and 8th grade levels.
TackleBar Football is a new version of youth football that was introduced in the Twin Cities last year. It eliminates tackling from the game of football, while still maintaining contact. Although the Jr Wolfpack Football program continues to flourish and grow, youth football across the United States have seen an increased awareness of injuries and concussions. TackleBar will be our way of transitioning from flag football into tackle football. We feel this alternative will help us spend more time on fundamentals and increase overall participation - while upholding the integrity of the game. Your child will be a pioneer in what we feel is the next big thing in youth football.
The following will be our football program options for your children entering into the 2017-2018 school year (Click HERE to register):
*TackleBar for 4th will be optional this coming football season. Our 2018/2019 season, 3rd and 4th Grade will only play TackleBar.
7th and 8th Grade Football:
We plan on having up to 4 different options for our 7th and 8th grade football players. First, Jr. Wolfpack football (JWF) offers an unrestricted team with no restrictions on weight or who can carry the ball. Secondly, JWF offers a restricted weight team where no participants in the league can weigh over 130 lbs. All 4 of these teams at the 7th and 8th grade levels will play in the North Suburban League (NSL) and are 11-player full contact football played on a regulation size field.
A third option is our NFL flag program. Teams play 7-on-7 flag football league against the Woodbury Athletic Association.
The fourth option is for 7th & 8th graders to participate in Middle School football offered by Community Education. This is an after school program with more details available at www.cecool.com. Players are only allowed to participate on one of the four above mentioned teams (this program is not part of the Jr Wolfpack Football Program).
If you are requesting a refund of your paid JWF / Park Youth Football Clinic registration fees, please fill out the below form. The JWF Board handles all decisions regarding granting refunds. The JWF Treasurer will then issue the refund once approval is given from the board. The Treasurer will not issue a refund check until the equipment manager has advised all equipment / uniforms handed out have been turned in. Failure to turn in equipment will result in an additional charge of $200 towards your JWF / CGAA account. This charge if unpaid will effect your status in future CGAA activities. See the CGAA "No Pay No Play" policy for additional information.
No refunds will be issued after August 15, 2017.
Please note that we make every effort to get refunds issued in a timely manner.
